1.08 2019 – 31.07.2021

Project funded by the CCAC (Climate and Clin Air Coalition), which includes a measurement campaign on the oil fields in operation in Romania. The participants' task was to identify the sites where the methane release occurs and to determine the size of the release for individual parts of the installation and for the whole basin.  The project involves about 100 people from 15 research units from all over the world. Mobile measurements were carried out using cars, drones and planes.

The first campaign took place in September and October 2019, the second campaign is planned for 2020 or 2021.

AGH is actively involved in the project. Concentration, streams and isotopic composition of methane in the vicinity of oil and gas wells in 3 regions were measured: Ploiesti, Pitesti and Transylvania. Two passenger cars were used - in total 4 people participated in the campaign.
