Radiological hazard tests at GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. transmission network facilities.
The project was conducted in 2015. It was developed in cooperation with the national gas pipeline network operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. The aim of the project was to carry out a preliminary assessment of potential radiation risk related to the transport of natural gas. On the basis of measurements of radon concentration (222Rn) in the transported natural gas, lead concentration (210Pb) in solid waste generated during transport and absorbed dose power measurements, potential sources of radiation hazard were analysed.
